Product Information |
An effective
filtration system should do more than simply trap dirt. The Biotec 5.1
and 10.1 feature both mechanical filtration for removal of solid debris
from the water circulation, as well as biological filtration for the reduction
of excess nutrients in the pond environment. Inside the Biotec, a series
of biological steps reduce the level of harmful nitrogen compounds in the
water by transforming them into harmless gaseous nitrogen.
Maintenance
is easy and convenient. Filter pads do not have to be removed or even touched
for regular cleanings. The built-in cleaning system makes filter maintenance
hassle-free. An indicator alerts to the need for cleaning. There is also
a built-in thermometer. The sludge drain allows for uncomplicated removal
of sediment and debris.
